A highlight for us was grabbing coffee and food from Dynamite Roasting Company in Black Mountain. Their made-to-order breakfast, fresh pastries, and organic juices had us ready to take on Asheville like champs!

5. The Inn at Amaris Farms

The Inn at Amaris Farms is a bed and breakfast perched on 16 acres of farmland 20 minutes outside of Asheville. Fresh mountain air, farm-to-table breakfast, and friendly farm animals? Count me in!

Here, you’ll have six rooms to choose from, with each uniquely decorated with antique furnishings and cozy fireplaces. Kick back on the wrap-around porch with your favorite person and watch the sun set over the mountains with a hot cup of tea or a glass of wine.

We recommend visiting Asheville from April to June or September to early November. These months offer mild temperatures, beautiful fall foliage, and fewer crowds compared to the peak summer tourist season. 

How many days should I spend in Asheville?

To get the full experience, 2 to 3 days should suffice! You’ll have enough time to explore the city and its surrounding areas, enjoy some delicious food, and really soak in the charming and laid-back atmosphere of Asheville.

Is Asheville a walking town?

Yes. Asheville is one of the most walkable cities in the United States. Its downtown area is pedestrian-friendly, with sidewalks and crosswalks connecting shops, restaurants, and attractions. Outside of the downtown area,  there are also plenty of walking trails and greenways for people to explore.
