Along the Savannah River, this picturesque waterfront offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern flair. The promenade is lined with old cotton warehouses that have been transformed into quaint shops, restaurants, and galleries. 

Along your romantic stroll, walk hand-in-hand and take in the scenic views of massive cargo ships on the water. As you walk further on these 200-year-old cobblestone streets, you’ll discover historical homes, monuments, and statues, giving you a glimpse into what once was.

After a day exploring River Street, head to one of the many rooftop bars and restaurants for good eats and beautiful views of the sunset over the river. It doesn’t get any more romantic than this!

Our favorite parks in Savannah for a picnic include Forsyth Park, Whitfield Square, Chippewa Square, Whitemarsh Preserve, and Harris Neck

Savannah’s parks are quite unique. Many feature enchanting oak tree canopies, historical monuments and fountains, and even fairytale-like gardens. Pack a blanket, some snacks, and a bottle of wine, and spend a peaceful afternoon gazing into each other’s eyes. 😍

One of the many popular outdoorsy things to do in Savannah, Georgia, is visiting Forsyth Park. Located in the historic district, this 30-acre park is filled with lush greenery, fragrant flowers, and an infectious atmosphere that will make you and your partner feel relaxed and in love. 

It’s full of everything you need to have an adventurous day out. You can take a lovely stroll through the park to see some of Savannah’s best. If you’d rather ride than walk, you can grab a couple of the bikes and tour the area.

While you’re visiting the park, make sure to take some time to appreciate the beautiful scenery, explore the local farmer’s market, and enjoy the live music and art performances by local artists. Also, don’t forget to admire the elegant historic buildings that have been restored in the area!

Ellis Square is one of the more popular ones, known for its beautiful fountain and regular live music performances. This spot usually doesn’t have many people, and at night, you can hear frogs croaking… how adorable is that!?

Savannah’s squares are also surrounded by some of the city’s most iconic architecture and monuments, making them great for photos. Don’t forget to capture those special moments!
