What to Pack for a Romantic Trip to Vail

When packing for Vail, layering is key to staying warm without looking like the Michelin Man. The higher elevations mean the weather can change quickly. Here’s a list of essentials:

  • Insulated Jacket & Ski Pants: Essential for staying warm and dry on the mountain.
  • Base Layers: Moisture-wicking thermal tops and bottoms to wear under your clothes.
  • Warm Accessories: A beanie, insulated gloves, and a neck gaiter or scarf.
  • Footwear: Waterproof, insulated boots with good traction for icy paths.
  • Sunglasses & Goggles: The sun is intense with the snow reflection.
  • A High SPF Sunscreen: Sunburn happens quickly at altitude.
  • A Reusable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is the best way to prevent altitude sickness.
  • Lip Balm with SPF: Protect against chapping from the dry, cold air.

Is Vail expensive?
